KSC Swimmers set off to a good start in the first 4 gala's of 2014

Sutton Relay Gala
On the 11th of January Kimberley SC competed in the Free Press Relay Gala, at Sutton in Ashfield, coming 3rd on the night behind the winners Sherwood and then Sutton. In most of the relays from age 10yrs to open Kimberley had top 3 finishes on the night including 1st places in both the open age groups (as well as a 3 speeding tickets in boys open age group). Overall it was a great warm up after the Christmas holiday period, with some close and exciting finishes.
Final Results - Sherwood 169, Sutton 159, Kimberley 128, Carlton Forum 103, Arnold 84 and Hucknall and Linby Dolphins 75.

      
JC Dobb  Round One
The 18th saw Kimberley SC swimmers competing in the first round of the JC Dobb league. On the night Kimberley were in top form to secure a first round win. 

First places on the night went to - Gemma Calder, Chloe Cheetham, Alex Cooke, Lily Orme and  Molly Rose Forrester, as well as the following relay teams -
boys 10/u  - Will Moore, Thomas Reeves, Alex Cooke and Matthew Jackson,
open - Jack Brown, Dan Knowles, Gemma Calder and Lauren Wright, 
8/9yrs - Lucy Middleton, Matthew Jackson, Amy Sheldon and Finley Bunheejee
10/U - Caitlin Smith, Alex Cooke, Will Moore and Lily Orme
14/U - Jade Calder, Katie Horner, Sophie McKeown and Charly Pink

   
Personal bests were achieved by - Jade Calder, Florence Orme, Jimi Knowles, Ella Maher, Greg Brown x 2, Thomas Reeves, Matthew Fearn x 2, Ciaran Smith, Caitlin Smith, Elliot Clements and  Lily Orme

Final Results - Kimberley 196, Sutton 191, Ilkeston 177, Radford 163, Hucknall 111 and Portland 86

Notts ASA Stage 1 Gala

The 25th saw the younger Kimberley swimmers, aged 8-11yrs compete in the Notts ASA Stage 1 Gala, the gala. With plenty of personal bests and 1st places Kimberley again were able to win on the night.

First places on the night went to Matthew Jackson x2 , Lauren Shipley, Jessica Shephard x2 , Finlay Bunheejee x2, Annaleise Howell, Amy Sheldon, Livia Kingsland, Mathew Fearn and Thomas Reeves as well as the following relay teams -
8/9yrs - Jessica Reeves, Amy Sheldon, Livia Kingsland and Jessica Shephard
8/9yrs - Jessica Shephard, Jessica Reeves, Livia Kingsland and Leila Fletcher-Smith
8/9yrs - Harry Stevenson, Lewis Rounce, Matthew Jackson and Finley Bunheejee

1st Round of the Sports Centre League

KSC swimmers continued with their winning streak, by winning the first 2014 round of the Sports Centre League, on Saturday night at Worksop. With some great swims, personal bests and tough opposition particularly from Sherwood, Kimberley won 23 out of 45 events.

First places went to -

Emma Clements x2, Ben Barsby x2, Mollie Wright x2, Mathew Shipley x2, Chloe Bis x2, Joseph Kingsland x2, Jimi Knowles x2, Charly Neilson, Jade Calder and Bradley Francis.
As well as the relay teams  -
9/U freestyle and medley - Lewis Rounce, Jessica Reeves, Thomas Reeves and Livia Kingsland, 11/13 medley - Jimi Knowles, Joseph Kingsland, Mathew Shipley and Bradley Francis
