A plea for your help from Basford United Football Club.

Below, is an e-mail from Basford United Football Club.

Ok, its not swimming related but please help if you can.

Dear club secretary, our region is desperate for investment in football facilities, ie pitch improvements, changing rooms, central heating, floodlighting  etc. Our club Basford United has won through to the National stages of the Budweiser Club futures super prize of £100k for investment in football infrastructure projects. We will go head to head against 7 other regions clubs including big hitters such as Manchester,Sheffield,London.  THE WINNER WILL BE THE REGION WITH THE MOST FACEBOOK VOTES ON THE BUDWEISER SITE  DURING THE PERIOD ENDING 28TH FEB 2014.

To win this prize it would safeguard our ground for many-many years, and it is a ground that your players will all have played at at some point as juniors and most definitely as seniors in future years, given we support so many of Nottinghamshire's football leagues . PLEASE GIVE THOUGHT TO GIVING THEM AS WELL AS FUTURE GENERATIONS, AS WELL AS THE NUMEROUS SPECTATORS viewing junior football for the right to better facilities. Your vote is absolutely crucial, and we need to erase so many grounds turning into housing or building developments.
Please can you communicate to all members of your club and anyone with a Facebook account can vote. TOO ENCOURAGE VOTES WE ARE OFFERING ALL VOTERS OR REFERERS THE CHANCE TO BE DRAWN OUT OF A HAT TO WIN ONE OF 3 CASH PRIZES SHARING A TOTAL OF £500. SO FOR THE 15 SECONDS IT TAKES TO VOTE THIS IS TOO GOOD AN OPPORTUNITY TO WIN THE PRIZE DRAW.

Thanks so much for your anticipated support and remember this is a vote for the East Midlands not just for BUFC.

Cheers
Chris Munroe (General Secretary BUFC)
