Amber is collecting entries for the City of Derby Open meet 7th July.

However due to her holiday, anyone entering through the club must hand their entries in by 23rd May, though you can still send your own entries after this date. (note Cat2 swimmers only) See the meet closing date.

Acorn Open Meet 13/05/2012

On Sunday 13th May, 8 swimmers took part in the first ever Arnold/Mansfield S.C's Acorn Open Meet at Hucknall. (Bradley Francis, Joseph Kingsland, Aiden Williamson, Matthew Shipley, Ryan Pigott, Elise Yorston, Jade Kennerell and Charly Neilson) 

Joseph swam his first open and came away with three trophies from three events.
Matthew recorded 3 first places and Bradley swam the fastest 200m backstroke in the Midlands for a 9yr old this year. Ryan, Jade, Charly, Aiden and Elise all came away with trophies.

Leicester Diddy League Round Two

On Saturday our younger squad swimmers travelled to Melton Mowbray
for the second round of the Leicester Diddy League and recorded the clubs
first win of the year. Well done to all the kids!!

Individual First place finishes on the night were achieved by Eve McG, Joseph Kingsland x 2, Josh Shipman, Tanisha Howell, Josh Skinner, Katie Walker, Dylan Wharton x 2, Emily Bettridge, Charly Pink, Aiden Williamson and Elise Yorston. The 9yr girls old relay teams of Eleanor Aboutorab, Emily Bettridge, Abbey Close and Eve McG, the boys 9yr and 10yr old team, Dylan Wharton, Joseph Zakipour, Joshua Skinner, Bradley Francis and Joseph Kingsland, the girls 10yr old team of Chloe Bis, Tanisha Howell, Holly Mansfield and Jessie Henderson, the boys 11yr old team, Ben Hatton, Cameron Thorpe, Bradley Francis, Aiden Williamson and Josh Shipman also recorded fine wins. The gala was finished in style with the swimmers winning the cannon relay. Special mention to Bradley, Joseph Kingsland, Joseph Zakipour, Josh Skinner and Dylan Wharton for doing so well in the 9yr and 10yr age group.  Alan.

Midlands Youth Championships 2012

Two Kimberley swimmers, Lauren Gill and Ben Barsby competed in the Midlands Youth Championships at Coventry over the weekend.

Lauren  finishing in 5th place in the 15/16yr old 50m Backstroke and Ben 7th in the 15/16yr old 50m Butterfly.

Well done to both :-)

Poolside helper Rebecca Barsby also competed, coming 1st in the 17yr/Over 50m,100m and 200m Breaststroke. Well done Becky.

Rykneld Open Meet

10 swimmers took part in the Rykneld Swimming Club Open Meet on Saturday May 5th, some doing their first open meet.  Katie Walker, Eve McG and Emily Bettridge all collecting trophies, Katie - 2nd in 50m Backstroke, Eve - 1st in 50m Breaststroke and Emily - two 2nds and a 6th for 50m Free, 50m Fly and 100m I/M .  Courtney Butters, Jade Kennerell, Callum and Aiden Williamson ,Aime Cheese and Tyler Meads all achieved p.bs and medal/trophy winning places and Holly Mansfield achieving p.bs.
