Swimtech

A couple of our swimmers, Ellie Knowles and Florence Orme have recently tried out Swimtech.

Swimtech is a brand new purpose built facility in Leicester, housing an Endless Pool and their objective is to give every swimmer the opportunity to have their stroke analysed using multiple HD, fully adjustable cameras.   Their qualified ASA coaches are dedicated to improving all swimmers stroke and performance.

This is the thoughts of Ellie and Florence -

I was able to take part in the trying out of swimtech. Swimtech is basically like a big bath with a machine that makes a current in the water and you have to swim against. It's a pretty little room, inside a fabulous farmhouse in the beautiful countryside. Swim-tech is great because the coach tells you what your doing wrong or what your doing well at. Then you and the coach have a look at our stroke on a screen.

It's really good and I've improved a lot thanks to swimtech.

I really enjoyed visiting Swimtech, The coach was really nice and knew what to tell me what to do in the tank to make me swim better. It was funny swimming in a big tank but great to see myself on TV. I couLd see what I was doing wrong and I have practiced my backstroke at Kimberley. I would like to go again to Swimtech and have another go at front crawl.
Thank you very much for letting us try out Swimtech

Below is the thoughts of Sharon.

The 2 girls who came for a trial session both loved it and we took nothing but positive feedback to our club regards both the facility and our coach Guy.

 Particular points we liked include
·         Guy – very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. He knew how to speak to the swimmer and explain what he wanted from them to get good results.
·         The breakdown of the stroke technique was good, and both swimmers were able to correct their faults – we just need them to remember what they learned.
·         The break between swimming and feedback was just right in terms of timing. Swimmers were spoken to clearly and not confused by mixed messages, for example Guy discussed arms first , then head position and then kick and not all at once
·         You were all very friendly and put our swimmers at ease, it could have been a little overwhelming for younger inexperienced swimmers, but that didn’t seem to matter and they both got plenty of tips and hints from the session with you.
·         Finally - Changing area – Our 2 10yr old girls loved the shower and body wash!! ( what more can I say?)

Interested?  Then contact Swimtech on the number on the flyer.
