Club Champs Entry Details

Club Champs Entry Form

Hi Everyone

Above are all the details for the forthcoming Club Champs in October/November.

You may think this is a long way off yet but it will soon be upon us. The closing date for entries is Monday 16th September so make sure you get your entries in early if you can.

As with the fun gala, it would help if you could run off your own entry forms, though we will have to have some on the desk for those people who didn't give us an e-mail address.

If you have any queries please see me at any club session, ask at the desk or drop me a message on my own e-mail address [jean.granger@o2.co.uk].

Volunteers.

We are always needing volunteers to help out at the club in any capacity but particularly during the coming month when a lot of our teachers will be having their family holidays. Some sessions may only see one or two teachers on poolside. We do not want to cancel any sessions over the holiday period , so please help out if you can.

If you wish to help out in any way please speak to the desk people, Jean or any of the poolside 'staff'

KSC Club Championships 2013

The entry forms for this years club championships on the 13th October and 3rd November, will be  available at the desk at the desk soon.
ALL SQUAD and LANE 5 SWIMMERS ARE EXPECTED TO ENTER.
ALL main pool swimmers from the Improver sessions are also encouraged to enter.
The age this year will be as of the 3rd November.

This year, for the first time the champs will be licensed. What does this mean?

Licensed galas are those galas where the competitor is swimming for themselves. Each licensed Gala is given a grade, which  starts at level 4 i.e Club Championships.
The results from the club championships will be forwarded to the ASA , so it is a good opportunity for swimmers of Cat 1 classification to get their times entered onto the ASA Rankings website.
To view these rankings go to http://www.swimming.org/britishswimming/results-and-rankings/rankings/

If anyone wishes to sponsor an event in the club champs please let us know.

The galas on the 20th July

On the 20th July the club competed in two galas, the JC Dobb Final Round of the the spring competition  at Hucknall and also the Broxtowe Trophy Gala at Bramcote.

In the JC Dobb We came 3rd on the night, but could have won it. The cut off times resulted in 7 races where the swimmers went too fast,
resulting in a points deduction for the team.

Whoosh!! Well done to all the swimmers.

Overall the club came second in the spring competition league

Thanks to Caroline, Lisa and Claire for standing in for Hucknall at the last moment,  also to Sharon for judging and to Alison and Maria for timekeeping.
