J.C Dobb Gala 06/09/2014

Saturday the 6th of September saw Kimberley Swimming Club competing in the 1st round of the JC Dobbs league, a league that has upper cut off times on the races. On the night there were nine events where Kimberley swimmers gained no points, as they were faster than the specified times.

Individual personal bests went to  Alex Cooke, Matthew Jackson, Megan Hanson x 2 , Cameron Thorpe, Daniel Knowles, Caitlin Smith, Tanisha Howell, Jimi Knowles x 2, Molly Forrester, Annaleise Howell x 2, Lewis Rounce, Jack Brown x 2 , Harry Stevenson, Emily Bettridge and Matthew Fearn.

Individual first places went to Tanishia Howell, Josh Wakelin, Katie Horner, Megan Hanson, Jimi Knowles, Jack Brown, Annaleise Howell and Gemma Calder.

County Champs announcement via Notts ASA Website

2015 County Championships:
The County Championships will be combined again, with the
 Age Groups and Youths/Seniors back together.
The “Age at Date” has been moved and fixed to 31st December in the year of competition (31st December 2015).
Removal of the 9 year old age group and changing the 10 year age group to be 10 and under.
9 year old swimmers will still be able to compete as long as they meet the minimum qualifying times for the 10 and under category.

Sunday 1st March

Sunday 15th March

Aquazone Magazine (cat 2 swimmers)

New online AquaZone now live!!

Phase 1 of the online magazine for ASA Category 2 members aged 9-15 is now live, offering a news feed, interviews, competitions and more. 
Your young athletes can sign up at: www.swimming.org/aquazone to access all this great content using their membership number, let them know now so they don't miss out!
Later in 2014 we'll be launching the social community section, which will bring timelines, a club hub, community chats, achievements and other great social stuff. This will help young club swimmers, divers, water polo players and synchro swimmers support each other and share experiences.
We take security very seriously, which is why we require parental verification when a young athlete first visits the site and tries to register. Parents will receive an email which gives them the option to stop their child using the site.
AquaZone is linked to the ASA membership database and has a full time moderator which allows us to control who has access to the site. You can find out more information about AquaZone at Parents Corner, so please pass on this information to parents at your club.

Kimberley S.C Club Championships 2014

The entry forms for the club champs are now out.  The closing date is Monday 8th September.

As with the fun gala, it would help if you could run off your own entry forms, though we will have to have some on the desk for those people who didn't give us an e-mail address.

National Age Groups

In the National Age Group championships held at Ponds Forge, Matthew Shipley finished 31st overall in the Bagcat rankings ( 12yr) , whilst Joseph Kingsland came in fourth in the 11yr old age group.
Well done to both boys in this, their first National Championships.
