Kimberley Swimming Club Goes for Gold

The 14th and 15th March saw the final weekend at the Nottinghamshire ASA County Championships. Kimberley Swimming Club have had a successful championships with many golds and personal bests and podium positions.

11 yrs – Lauren Shipley 2nd
12 yrs – Joseph Kingsland 1st, Jimi Knowles 3rd, Imogen Spouge 5th
13 yrs – Matthew Shipley 1st, Bradley Francis 5th
Open – Ben Barsby 9th, Mollie Wright 2nd

There was success in the relay events with Matthew Fearn, Thomas Reeves, Joseph Kingsland and Jimi Knowles winning the 12 & under 50m Freestyle County Relay Team. There were further successes in the 14 & under relay with a 4th for Matthew Shipley, Joseph Kingsland, Jimi Knowles and Bradley Francis. There was a win on the Boys 12/U medley relay from Finley Bunhejee, Joseph Kingsland, Jimi Knowles and Matthew Fearn. There was also a bronze in the 14/u medley relay for Matthew Shipley, Joseph Kingsland, Jimi Knowles and Bradley Francis and a 5th in the Girls 12/U freestyle relay for Ella Maher, Livia Kingsland, Imogen Spouge and Lauren Shipley.
