Notts Northern Open Meet 29/06/2014

On Sunday a handful of swimmers competed in the Notts Northern Open Meet at Beechdale Baths. Ted Goonan-Dunne came away with an impressive haul of four first places and a second place. Thomas Reeves came 2nd in the 50m fly, 4th in the 100m I/M and 6th 50m back. Amy Sheldon won the girls 9yr 50m breaststroke, whilst Megan Hanson got a 4th in the 50m breast and 5th 100m I/M.
Matthew Fearn and Jessica Reeves also swam with both achieving p.b's.

Asa National Championships

Good luck to Kimberley Swimming Club / Nova Centurion swimmers competing in the forthcoming National Championships.

Joseph Kingsland 11yrs will be competing in the 200m breaststroke and Mathew Shipley will be competing in the 400m free, 800m free, 200m back and 200m IM at the British Gas Age Group Championships at Ponds Forge, between the 30th July & the 3rd of August.

Following on from these championships Mollie Wright 16yrs will be competing in the 400m free, 800m free and 400m IM at the British Gas Youth and Open Championships, also at Ponds Forge, between the 5th & 10th of August.

Notts ASA Stage 3 Round 3 28/06/2014

Whilst some of the 12yrs and under KSC swimmers were competing in the final of the Leicester Diddy League, some more of the under 12's along with some of the older swimmers were competing at Bramcote in a Stage 3 Gala. At this gala all the races, except the relays are 100m events, which often gives some of the younger swimmers there first opportunity to compete in 100m sprints.

On the night personal bests were achieved by -

Katie Horner, Daniel Marriott x2 , Jack Brown, Tyler Meads, Amy Butler x2, Dylan Wharton x2 , Josh Shipman, Holly Mansfield, Robert Smith, Megan Littlewood, Cameron Thorpe and Anya Deegan.

First places went to -

Mollie Wright - 100m free & 100m fly
Charly Neilson - 100m breast
Ben Barsby - 100m fly & 100m back

and the girls 14/O 4x50m free team Emma Clements, Lauren Wright, Gemma Calder & Mollie Wright

Diddy League Final 28/06/2014

Kimberley Swimming Club swimmers are once again Champions of the Leicester Diddy League.

          Junior Club Captains Ellie Knowles and Joseph Kingsland presented with the trophies.

Saturday the 28th of June saw the youngsters from Kimberley Swimming Club travel to Braunstone for the final of the Leicester Diddy League.
