Help Needed For Presentation Night.
If anyone can help “prepare” the awards on Sunday we can get into the mens dry side changing rooms to work from 10am on Sunday this week (2nd Dec) No idea how long this will take but any help is appreciated.
• On the date of the presentation next sat (8th Dec) we can have access to the sports hall from 1pm to set up. Again any and all help is appreciated. please no small kids as there will be stuff everywhere and it could be dangerous, we will need help with the following.
o Moving tables and chairs into place
o Hanging drapes (if helpers have a small step ladder they can bring along with them it would be helpful)
o Tables to decorate with covers etc,
o Santas Grotto to put up
o Awards to put out in correct order for presentation to winners.
o “Christmas Props” to put in place and test to check they work.
o Raffle to set up
o General dogsbody work etc etc.
• We will also need help at the end of the evening to remove all stuff from the sports hall as the Leisure Centre have a booking in there 1st thing on Sunday morning.
Thanks in advance.

Two requests from Nottinghamshire Sport
Dear All,
For the Nottinghamshire Sports Awards 2012 we would like to celebrate all the people from Nottinghamshire that have been involved with or were lucky enough to get tickets to go to the London Olympics and / or Paralympics.
To highlight the support that Nottinghamshire has contributed to the Games, we would like you to send us your pictures from the games so that we can use them as a backdrop for the awards. If there is anyone in your club who has been to the Olympics or Paralympics as a Gamesmaker or Official and have a picture in their uniforms or any members that have simply had tickets and got a photo in their Union Jack clothing, with flags or any merchandise at an Olympic venue or event, we want them!
Please send photos to the Nottinghamshire Sports Office email address sports@nottscc.gov.uk

New Harvey Haddon Sports Centre
As some of you may be aware the pool at Beechdale is going to close soon and a new 50m pool will be built in Nottingham at the Harvey Haddon Site.
The following is a plea from the Notts ASA to all swimming clubs and their members.
The following is a plea from the Notts ASA to all swimming clubs and their members.
"Please find the link to the site where they are inviting you to
have a say in the new 50m pool.
Can I ask that we all individually, not as an association, log for
more seating PLEASE.I am told there will be a springboard at one end so the pool will
be deep enough for polo and synchro and they are aware of this but again lobbying for the use of polo
and synchro will not come amiss.
If we are to hold some or all of our Counties in the pool that is
being built to replace Beechdale
we should be looking forward and not backwards and have adequate
seating".

Sponsorship
Hi,
I'd just like
to pass on my thanks and appreciation to everyone from Kimberley Swimming Club
that sponsored me to do my walk, in Halloween costume. The sponsorship has
helped raise funds towards my trip to Gambia, in January, to teach less
fortunate children sport and help fund taking them some sporting kit and
equipment and educational equipment, that to us is just what we have and use
on a day to day basis. In addition money raised will
also help towards the cost of the children's continued education. In
total for the walk I have raised just over £300 and have also received some
donations of equipment to take out to the schools in Gambia.
Having now
completed my walk on the freezing Halloween I will be starting to collect my
sponsorship money in.....so thanks again everyone that sponsored me.
