Sorry for not having updated this recently, so here goes!!
On the 1st October we travelled to Bramcote for the first round of the autumn J.C Dobb league.
We came third on this occasion just 3 points behind the winners Portland despite have 30 points deducted for going too fast in six events

Thank you to Emma,Evie and Sue for helping.
On the 8th October we went to Sutton, this time for the first round of the Notts and District.
We won the gala by two points
Kimberley 242
Leander 240
Sutton 220
Portland 166
Southwell 134
Falcon 103
Well done to all.
Special mentions to Jade Calder on her first County Qualifying Time, to Nathan, Ryan, Jack and Adam for swimming up in the relays and some individuals, to Ben for 50m Back :-) and to Shiona on her first gala, to Robyn on achieving a CQT and apologies for leaving her behind at Kimberley!! Thanks to Niki Clements for coming to the rescue, and to Natalie for travelling all the way from Birmingham to compete.
Thanks to Sue, Wendy, Malcolm, Denise and Sharon for officiating/team managing and to Russ Pigott for standing in at the last moment as chief timekeeper. Also to Emma, Neil and Lisa for recording and announcing.
Unfortunately our win was marred by the fact one of our swimmers had his mobile phone and wallet stolen from his bag whilst it was on poolside. Other swimmers have had their bags searched, and a swimmer from Falcon has had their phone stolen. I don't know if any other club has suffered.
We, as a club were placed on poolside near to the showers at Lamass which you will probably know is away from poolside, so this theft could have been done by an outsider. The police and the leisure centre have been informed. I have made Notts a.s.a aware of this when booking Lamass and the fact that some club are placed away from poolside whilst there.
If anyone else has anything missing from their bag please let me know a.s.a.p or if any swimmer saw someone hanging around then let us know.
Also, unfortunately, we need to inform the parents to remind the swimmers that whilst at a gala they are representing the club and should be well behaved We had swimmers messing around in the showers and throwing water at each other. We shouldn't be telling them NOT to do this, they should know.
Two Minor Gala galas have taken place recently , Round One at Water Meadows and Round Two at Arnold.
At Water Meadows we came 4th
Special mentions go to Greg Brown - on achieving a first county qualifying time , Charly Neilson - 100m I/M cqt and Ryan Pigott - 2p.bs - also cqt's.
Also, the first places, Matthew Shipley 50m Back and the two nine year old Medley relay teams and Katie Walker and Thomas Bowhay on their first gala.
At Arnold We came 5th on the night.
Special mentions to Jade Calder on a new CQT - 100m I/M, Elise Yorston a new CQT - 100m Free, To Shaun Manchester and Callum Williamson for standing in at late notice, to Ryan(2), Morgan, Aiden, Nathan, Charly, Jade C, Elise and Greg for their p.bs.
Thanks to Scott, Sue and Shirley and to the relay split timekeeper Gemma Calder.

Once they realised they had set really slow cut off times and changed the scoring to 'normal' we WON the gala.
Matlock B 143
Matlock A 197
Kimberley 206
Etwell 133
Dronfield 137
Well done to all the kids. Special mentions to Niamh Skellet, Emily Bettridge, Caitlin Worthington and Andrea Crawford for their first gala, Aiden Williamson, for his first swims in many a week, also to Gemma Calder and Holly Orme for their help on pool side.
Thanks to Sharon, Kirsten and Mick for officiating.
Also, I need to apologise to everyone, on the start time of the gala that we sent out ending with everyone getting there too early..Sorry folks.
