Lauren at the Nationals

In todays 200m Backstroke Lauren finished in the top twenty for her age group.
Recording a time of 2.27.30 just 0.17 second away from her long course p.b she beat the target she set herself of going faster than the qualifying time, a fantastic effort considering her recent knee injury.

Well done Lauren, we are all proud of you.

Lauren Gill competes in the Nationals on Tuesday 3rd August in the 200m Backstroke.
We wish her well. This is an achievement for Lauren to be taking part considering her recent knee injury.

We also wish Rebecca Barsby well in the Nationals. (Rebecca has been helping on poolside recently on some Saturday/Sunday evenings)

The swimmers of the month for July were Mitchell Unthank - main pool
and Dan Campbell from the small pool.

Kimberley Fun Day 31/07/2010

Thank-you to all for making the fun day a great success. Over 70 of you turned uop for the field games and barbecue in the afternoon whilst approximately 60 swimmers swam in the fun gala in the evening, which was eventually one by the Sharks.

A special thanks goes to Barlow Butchers of Main Street, Newthorpe (01773 712188)
for the excellent burgers and the loan of the barbecue.

Mollie at the Nationals

On Saturday 31/07/2010 Mollie swam for the Nova Girls 4x200m Relay team at the Nationals. They qualified 8th fastest for the final and ended up finishing 5th in the final.
