We travelled to Mansfield for their annual Mary Davies Gala on the 10th July.

Kimberley 142
Leander 146
Bramcote 155

Congratulations to Mollie Wright and Lauren Gill
KSC are proud to be able to congratulate and report that Lauren Gill managed to recover sufficiently from a serious knee injury to be able to travel to Majorca with her Nova team mates and take part in a swim training camp designed for elite swimmers. Despite Lauren’s recovery being very late in the day, she is making steady progress and still hopes to compete in the Youth National Championships in mid July. We wish her every success.
The club are also proud to be able to congratulate Mollie Wright on becoming the Midlands 200m Freestyle and 800m Freestyle champion following her participation in the Midland District Age Group Championships in early June. Mollie collected a haul of medals and after a long couple of weekends swimming finished in 3rd position overall in the 11 year girls age group – a fantastic achievement. Mollie is now looking forward to the National Age Group Championships later in July. Good Luck Mollie!

Fun Day/Fun Gala 31/07/2010
On 31st July the club will be holding its annual Fun Day & Gala with games & BBQ on the field before the gala begins. The fun will kick off at 1pm on the school field next to the Leisure centre, with games of Tag Rugby, British Bulldog and others before the BBQ is ready. At 6pm we will move into the Leisure Centre Pool and split into 4 teams who will battle (and often cheat!!) to become the KSC Fun Gala Champions. Entry forms are available now on the desk.
The Games on the field are free and entry to the gala is just £2 per swimmer. All family and friends are welcome to join us in the field games regardless of age, but in the pool, for safety reasons, swimmers in lane 1 of improver sessions will compete in the teaching pool. We will also need volunteer helpers for the gala, so please let the desk staff know if you can lend a hand and don’t mind getting wet!!

Kettering 208
Coventry 193
Loughborough 165.5
Melton 150
Kimberley 144.5
